The Blog I Wish I Wrote

PSSIblogonWordpress (Medium)If Brian Sittley keeps this up, I’m just going to have to start republishing his feed here… Congratulations to the PSSI blog for being featured on the front page of WordPress.com! I’m privileged to participate in a business improvement group forum with Brian (great name too), and appreciate his insights on business and life. Don’t let the business acumen and ERP talk fool you, Brian also was an English major! He makes blogging and writing look incredibly easy with his talents and experience.

Thank you, sir. You are too kind.

The last 24 hours were a revelation. A blog that went, over months, from a few hits daily to a couple dozen finally reached the whopping total one day last week of 59. Then, we went viral, I guess.

Yesterday’s post on multi-tasking generated nearly 2,500 hits in the last 24 hours or so, with dozens of comments from all over the world. The nearly 1800 hits yesterday makes today’s 621 (so far) seem paltry. (Today’s are a carryover from yesterday’s, since we had no new post today.)

I would credit WordPress’ mercurial decision to post it to their home page as the source of most of those hits, but regardless, it’s an interesting phenomenon when you get sucked into the vortex of your 15 minutes of pseudo-fame.

The only logical conclusion is that this Internet thing just might catch on… As Homer Simpson once noted: “You know they got that Internet thing on personal computers now.”

    Thanks for the comments, Brian.

    Best,
